WBA minimum weight champion Hekkie Budler (24-1, 7 KO?s) of South Africa has decided to pass up a fight with Nicaragua?s Carlos ?Chocorroncito? Buitrago and have decided to take on Karluis Diaz (21-4, 14 KO?s) of Colombia.
According to Budler?s trainer Colin Nathan they are looking for a tough, entertaining fight and they believe that Diaz will give that to them.
?He?s a decent puncher,? said Nathan. While he has a few losses, they have come at the highest level. We need a good fight and Diaz will give us one.?
Though Diaz may give them the type of fight they are in search of, a Buitrago fight would bring more risk and possibly a greater reward.
