JASON Canoy and Jason Redondo returned to their winning ways after impressive stoppage victories last Friday night in Borbon, Cebu.
The 23-year-old Canoy needed only a single round before connecting a bone-crushing body shot on Aroel Romasasa in the main event.
Canoy is off a tough technical decision loss to Oleksandr Hryshchuk last August in Ukraine.
Canoy got a confidence booster after capturing the vacant Philippine Boxing Federation (PBF) flyweight crown after easily disposing of the overweight Romasasa.
Canoy improved to 17-4-2 with 12 knockouts, while Romasasa?s slump continues as he suffered his sixth straight loss and dropped to 11-6 with five knockouts.
The 19-year-old Redondo, on the other hand, scored a ninth round technical knockout over Bonnie Makiling in the co-main event.
Redondo bounced back from a heartbreaking unanimous decision defeat to fellow prospect Jimmy Paypa in September.
Redondo, who won the PBF featherweight strap, is now 8-2-1 with seven knockouts, while Makiling dropped his fourth straight bout and slumped to 4-5 with three knockouts.
