He may be coming off terrible performances against Timothy Bradley and Juan Manuel Marquez, but when Manny Pacquiao returns to the ring this Saturday vs. Brandon Rios, he will still be getting paid a King’s ransom.
According to longtime veteran and well respected boxing scribe, Kevin Iole of Yahoo.com, Pacquiao’s purse for his battle withe Rios will earn him no less than a guaranteed $18 million. Pacquiao stands to make upwards of close to $30 million (with shares of PPV revenue).
Rios for his part will make a career high with a guaranteed purse of $4 million.
Zou Shiming, who will be featured on the undercard is set to earn $500,000.
In a recent tweet posted by Kevin Iole, he tweeted: “Pacquiao is guaranteed $18 million and can make close to $30 million. Rios is guaranteed $4 million. Zou Shiming is earning $500,000.”
