TWO ALA-Promotions-Cobra Energy Drink boxing events are showcased this month in opposite locations.
The ?Cobra Lakas ng Pinas? boxing show is on Nov. 16 at the Brgy. Jesus de la Pena in Marikina City, while ?Cobra Tunay na Lakas Boxing? event is on Nov. 23 at the Brgy. 6 Amphitheater in Cagayan de Oro.
The boxing show in Marikina City is headlined by a 10-round super flyweight bout between promising boxers Michael Dasmarinas (13-1, 8 KOs) and Renren Pasignahin (5-1, 1 KO); while the event in Cagayan de Oro is bannered by Jimmy Paypa (14-2, 4 KOs) against journeyman Jovil Marayan (8-14-3, 3 KOs).
Dasmarinas, 21, is facing one of his toughest tests to date in fellow prospect Pasignahin, who has only been beaten once.
Dasmarinas has won 10 straight fights, while Pasignahin attempts to bounce back after suffering his first career defeat in his last fight in the hands of Mike Espinosa by unanimous decision.
In the ?Cobra Lakas ng Pinas? undercard, Argie Toquero (5-3-1, 4 KOs) takes on Menard Zaragosa (6-14-1, 4 KOs); unbeaten Renerio Arizala (7-0-1, 3 KOs) faces off with Rissan Muellas (6-6, 4 KOs); Ritchie Bagaan (2-2-1) slugs it out with Reymond Impic; Philip Luis Cuerdo (1-0, 1 KO) takes on Mark Macabales; and Pablito Canada (1-2) faces Mark Postrano (1-1, 1 KO).
On the other hand, the 20-year-old Paypa, one of ALA Gym?s prospects, is looking to extend his impressive winning streak to 13 fights. He is off a one-sided unanimous decision victory over up-and-comer Jason Redondo last Sept. in Balamban. Marayan, in the meantime, is looking to end a two fight losing skid.
In the undercard of ?Cobra Tunay na Lakas Boxing?, Albert Villacampa (15-6-1, 3 KOs) takes on Roger Echavez (7-10-1, 4 KOs); former amateur standout Vic Saludar (2-0, 2 KOS) looks to remain unbeaten against Powell Balaba (7-9-1, 4 KOs); Lito Dante (6-3-3, 3 KOs) is up against Jovel Romasasa (10-11, 4 KOs); Junel Lacar (2-0-1) locks horns with Paolo Perono (2-1, 2 KOs); and Freddie Bisande (0-0-2) is fighting Junjie Codella.
