While certainly not being looked at as an ideal matchup to make, there seems to be a very realistic possibility that Floyd Mayweather could be facing off with Amir Khan this coming May.
If such a fight were to come off it would likely be a financial success but Mayweather, the sport?s best fighter at the moment, would be considered a very big betting favorite over Khan, the former champion from Bolton who has looked rather shaky in his recent outings.
Earlier this week I caught up with former two-division titlist Zab Judah in Las Vegas, as he is fresh into his latest training camp ahead of his Dec. 7 clash with fellow Brooklyn native Paulie Malignaggi.
Judah has faced both Mayweather and Khan, losing a unanimous decision to Floyd in April of 2006 and getting stopped inside of five rounds against Amir two summers ago.
Asked for his take on the match, Judah laughed before weighing in with his thoughts.
?It?s a payday,? Judah stated. ?Floyd?s into making money. That?s another money maker right there.?
Pressed for some kind of prediction, Judah doesn?t see things boding well for Khan.
?He?ll destroy Khan,? Judah claimed.
