In his first fight with the legendary Freddie Roach in his corner, former multi-division world champion Miguel Cotto looked better than ever with a third round annihilation of Delvin Rodriguez moments ago at the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida, as seen live on HBO. Cotto looked like his old self as he went to the body with a vengeance right from the beginning of the bout. The Puerto Rican star hammered away with precise and accurate punches at Rodriguez who seemed caught off guard with Cotto?s aggression. Cotto stalked his man through the first two rounds and had him hurt in the closing moments of the second. In Round 3 Cotto landed a telling right to the body followed by a picturesque left hook upstairs that dropped Rodriguez like a stone. The referee waived the fight off immediately and the official end came at 2:43 in the third.
