Mayweather vs Canelo ?lvarez Training | Sa?l on Schedule with Weight

Saul “Canelo” Alvarez’s (42-0-1, 30 KO’s) training regimen for Mayweather vs Canelo is right on schedule compared to previous camps.

It seems unneeded attention and speculation has risen of his weight, when it’s business as usual for Canelo.

At his 30 day pre-fight weigh-in for his upcoming bout with Mayweather, Canelo weighed-in at 166.8 pounds, common with his past 30 day weigh-ins. Let’s review prior 30 day pre-fight weigh ins:

1. Canelo vs. Trout – Canelo weighed 166.5 pounds at the 30 day pre-fight weigh-in – Canelo weighed in at 153.5 pounds at the official weigh-in

2. Canelo vs. Josesito – Canelo weighed in at 167.2 pounds at the 30 day pre-fight weigh-in – Canelo weighed in at 154.0 pounds at the official weigh-in

3. Canelo vs. Mosley – Canelo weighed in at 165.5 pounds at the 30 day pre-fight weigh-in – Canelo weighed in at 154.0 pounds at the official weigh-in

As stated before Canelo is right on schedule with making weight, he is a professional who has 43 fights under his belt and would not have agreed to a weight limit he believed was not achievable.

The only time Canelo had difficulty making weight was against Matthew Hatton at 150 catchweight. Canelo came in at 151.8 pounds. Both fighters had live streams of their camps the last two days and they both seem to be in tip top shape.

Mayweather vs Canelo will be a fight for all boxing fans to enjoy; we don’t get too many of these so let’s enjoy it for what it is two undefeated champions at their best.
