Undefeated junior middleweight Glenn ?Jersey Boy? Tapia (19-0-0,10KO) of Passaic, New Jersey beat and bloodied Abraham Han 19-1-0, 12KO of El Paso, Texas and made him taste defeat for the first time in his career. Tapia dropped Han in round 7 with a right hook to the side of the head. Throughout the fight from round 4 Han bled from a cut on the side of the head from an accidental head butt but the cut was not severe enough for the doctor to stop the fight. But at the end of the 8th round with Han bleeding from the right eye referee Jan Nady asked the doctor to check the cuts. The doctor decided the cuts were severe enough to stop the cut and stopped the fight.
With the victory Tapia win the NABO junior middleweight belt and kept his record clean at 19-0-0,11KO).
