Heavyweight contender Seth Mitchell joined the 8CN Podcast and discussed his recent win Vs. Johnathon Banks. Mitchell was stopped in the 2nd round in the first fight but was able to bounce back last Saturday night in the 2nd fight grabbing a unanimous decision. This was a very big fight for Mitchell, one that he had to win otherwise his stock would have plummeted.
Seth talked about the importance of winning this fight. He also addressed the concerns that some of the fans had about the fight not being a very exciting fight. Let’s be honest, Mitchell had to win this fight so he fought smart and rather than get knocked out by a shot he didn’t see, he chose not to get in there and brawl. That said, it was odd that Banks had no plan B. 8CN was a bit surprised that once Banks realized that Mitchell was not going to lose composure, that he didn’t have a plan B to go to.
Mitchell gets a nice win and is able to fight on towards a title shot. He tells 8CN that he wants to remain busy, and wants fights that will move him closer to a title shot. Listen to the entire Podcast below.
