ALA Promotions will showcase new talents in a new boxing series called ?Idol?, where the young up-and-coming prospects, whom not too many people know about, will get their much needed exposure.
?We believe that the ?Idol? will change the landscape of Philippine boxing as more talents will be seen in national TV before they become part of Pinoy Pride. It?s on a smaller scale than Pinoy Pride but the difference is that promising fighters not seen on TV in Pinoy Pride will now be known because of ?Idol? as it will be aired on Studio 23,? ALA Promotions president Michael Aldeguer told Sun.Star Cebu.
According to Aldeguer, Pinoy Pride will get bigger as it will now be staged in bigger cities and also outside the Philippines, which will be a first for Pinoy Pride.
?So this will make Pinoy Pride much bigger than it is now as young talents will already have a fan base before they reach Pinoy Pride and especially now that our license to promote in California has been approved. ALA Promotions is the first Philippine-based company to get a (boxing promotions) license in the US,? he said.
