Not too long ago Manny Pacquiao and Amir Khan were considered to be best of friends. They sparred together, trained together and had a lot in common. This was before Manny Pacquiao was put to sleep by Juan Manuel Marquez and before Amir Khan suffered losses at the hands of Lamont Peterson and Danny Garcia.
When Amir Khan dropped Freddie Roach as his trainer, it seems as if their friendship has diminished. No longer do the two boxer workout together. In fact, Roach has actually bashed Khan several times which is now leading to people thinking that a potential fight between Khan and Pacquiao could happen.

Many people believe that Khan wants Floyd Mayweather, but there is no indication that Mayweather wants anything to do with Khan. Hardly anybody thinks Khan would have any chance at pulling off the upset over Money May.
However, a Manny Pacquiao vs. Amir Khan fight draws a ton of interest from fans who have followed both fighters through their friendship and their hardships. Both fighters have an entertaining fan-friendly fighting style that would surely spark a ton of fireworks while it lasts.
Since it seems as if Juan Manuel Marquez has little interest in facing Pacquiao for a fifth time, Pacman finds himself without a ton of opponents. He could always take a rematch against Timothy Bradley, but not too many people care to see it even though Pacquiao did lose (controversially).
If Pacquiao vs. Marquez V doesn’t happen, a fight against Amir Khan would make a ton of sense. Pacquiao does not plan on fighting in America ever again which would not matter in this fight because they could make the fight in the UK where Khan is from.
The fight would surely sell out and do great pay per view numbers. In fact, many people would rather see Manny Pacquiao vs. Amir Khan than they would care to see Pacquiao in his scheduled November bout against Brandon Rios.
