LOS ANGELES ? A British boxing publication reported in its latest issue which came out on Thursday that Mexico?s Juan Manuel Marquez, who faces Filipino Manny Pacquiao, will be in for a ?tremendously tough fight? on May 8 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
Graham Houston wrote in the May 2004 issue that although Marquez holds two featherweight titles ? the World Boxing Association and International Boxing Federation ? Pacquiao “brings star power to the event” and that (Pacquiao) is “one of the hottest fighters in the business.”
“(Marquez) has never met anyone with the speed and firing power of Pacquiao, who at the age of 25, seems to be getting better and more powerful all the time,” wrote Houston in the Boxing Monthly.
