The Battle for Pacman took a one-day Christmas break but the kettle is steaming again with the arrival in the Philippines of Top Rank’s Bob Arum. Arum is planning to meet as soon as possible with Manny Pacquiao. “It’s always been Bob’s dream to spend New Year’s Eve in General Santos City,” a source close to Arum said, laughing. “No, Bob is over there to make a personal plea to Manny. He will try to convince Manny to stay with Top Rank. He will be working overtime pointing out how screwed up he contends Golden Boy Promotions is.” . .
