JUAN Manuel Marquez is most special and the best athlete trainer Ignacio “Nacho” Beristain has ever trained and handled and he believes that Filipino champion Manny Pacquiao could taste defeat soon.
Beristain, speaking through interpreter and publicist Ricardo Jimenez of Top Rank Inc. in an exclusive, three-way phone interview between Los Angeles and Mexico City, said that they have prepared well and hard for the May 8 featherweight championship set at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
“I think we have done well in training and we’ve changed some things for this fight. Juan Manuel will come out faster and stronger,” said Beristain, maker of Mexican champions including the great strawweight fighter Ricardo Lopez, who went on to make 22 successful defenses of the World Boxing Council crown.
