“I am acquiring a great preparation, and because of that I will arrive at this fight with a hard training of two months and a half. I have trained myself as never before, because I do not have another purpose but to defeat the Philippine boxer,” Marquez stated in an interview with box-latino.
Marquez maintains that the boxing world will see one truly great fight on May 8 between two of the present-day legends.
“I have seen various videos of fights of Pacquiao, and I am convinced that he is a great boxer, but also very dirty fighter, and he seeks to cut with his head,” the dual champ continued.
To counter Pacquiao’s offensive, Marquez said he will use a lot of movement in his tactic, and try to avoid the Filipino’s left hand by putting his right defense on guard all the time.
