WORLD Boxing Organization (WBO) light flyweight champion Donnie ?Ahas? Nietes promised his compatriots a knockout (KO) victory when he faced his Mexican challenger Moses Fuentes tonight at the Waterfront Hotel in Cebu City.
?It doesn?t matter what his true record is. What matters is his style,? said Nietes (31-1-3 win-loss-draw slate with 17 knockouts) in response to Fuentes? trainer Jorge Barrera?s boasting that his ward has a 26-1 with 20 KOs record.
But the official boxing records in boxrec.com listed that Fuentes has only eight knockouts in 16 wins and a loss.
?I will do my best to knock him out and let?s just see what will happen, but I really like to knock him out,? Nietes added.
