World Boxing Council super-featherweight king Erik “El Terrible” Morales yesterday hurled a challenge at consensus featherweight king Manny Pacquiao–even hinting that the Filipino might not make it past Juan Manuel Marquez-then stated that he would like to face the Filipino warrior in “October or November in Las Vegas.”
The southpaw Pacquiao, 38-2-1 (30), tangles with WBA/IBF featherweight boss Juan Manuel “Dinamita” Marquez, 42-2 (33), for all the featherweight bragging rights.
Morales, 46-1 (34), who recently received Boxer of the Year 2003 honors from the Mexican Boxing Commission, had vowed that after his unification fight with IBF champ Carlos “Famous” Hernandez on July 31, he would like to face Pacquiao next but with one condition.
