Filipino Dondon Sultan has just become the country's only world title holder after he beat Australian Eddie Delic via unanimous decision moments ago at the Suntec Int. Convention Center in Singapore.
Sultan bucked Delic's dirty tactics, and outpointed the latter en route to a 117-113, 115-112, 115-112 scores from the three judges.
"I had a little tough time tonight. My opponent was always clinching and did all the dirty works out there. But I was able to solve his style," Sultan said in a long-distance call.
Sultan's promoter Sammy 'Don King' Gello-ani, in an interview in Texas, USA, said his boy's attitude in training helped him surpass the Australian fighter.
