Top Rank Boss Bob Arum spoke to 8CountNews from South Africa this morning and gave us an update on Manny Pacquiao, Donaire, and the rest of his stable. Arum tells 8CN that Manny Pacquiao is currently in Israel with his family, but after the New Year sometime he will talk to him about a Marquez 5.
Bob also congratulates Nonito Donaire for being voted ?Fighter of The Year? for 2012. He talked about a possible match up between Nonito and Abner Mares. Arum also said that Kelly Pavlik may possibly be matched up Vs. Lucian Bute. His original opponent, Andre Ward suffered an injury so they are working hard on a replacement opponent. Bute seems to be the front runner as of now.
Arum also tells 8CN that Timothy Bradley should have a named opponent very soon. Lastly, Arum says, ?NEVER SAY NEVER? when it comes to a Floyd Mayweather Vs. Pacquiao fight. Although even he admits that the fight doesn’t have the attraction that it once did, it’s still a possible fight in the future.
