Marquez boasts a record of W 45 (34 ko’s) | L 3 | D 1 |
Some boxing experts feel he would beat Manny Pacquiao in a rematch bout
Pacman basically destroyed the out-matched Eric Morales. Manny’s speed was just too much for Morales this time around. Morales came into the fight looking to redeem himself from the beating he took from Manny the last time out, however now Morales must contemplate retirement from the sport he has accelerated in for years.
Could Marquez handle Pacquiao’s fierce determination, he dose real good in rematch situations, he also has the ability to end Marquez’s career as well. However it is unlikely will see those two go at it for some time, also who knows what’s going to happen with Pacquiao’s contract situation between Bob Arum and Golden Boy Promotions.
This coming Saturday evening Juan will face Jimrex Jaca for the WBO Interim Featherweight Title
Marquez is probably the second best featherweight fighting today, nobody can argue with the fact that “Pacman is the man to beat in the featherweights. Also another great fight would be Marco Antonio Barrera vs. Marquez, If Marco can get past Manny next March.
Jaca is not coming to this fight to lose, he is a crafty ring veteran who can make you look bad, if your not prepared to go the distance.
Marquez wants to hold on to his current title belt and try to avoid another “Chris John” situation and leave the fight up to the judges.
Notable Wins:Orlando Salido, Derrick Gainer, Robbie Peden and Agapito Sanchez
Our Thoughts and Predictions:
Marquez seems to be in great shape for this fight so I don’t see him losing, however Jaca has everything to gain in this fight and that makes him a dangerous opponent.
I think Marquez will with this fight in the later rounds by TKO, everybody boasts about “Pacman’s” speed and Power, they almost have identical records so don’t forget Marquez is just as destructive as Pacquiao when it comes to ending fights, fans want to see KO’s and Marquez loves to KO his opponents so this will make for some exciting action Saturday night
