Doghouse Boxing. Circulating in the the Philippine’s media today is a call for Music star, Justin Beiber to apologize for a parody pic he posted of Manny Pacquiao being knocked out by Juan Manuel Marquez. You can see the parody pic by clicking the link provided below this article.
Basically Justin Bieber is being told to issue a public apology or else be declared as ?persona non grata? (meaning “an unwelcome person”) and be banned from entering the Philippines.
Apparently the warning to Bieber (according to media reports) was issued by YACAP Rep. Carol Jayne B. Lopez, who along with 6 other House members, as they filed House Resolution to demand a public apology from Justin Bieber. All this because they feel insulted by Beiber (who is a huge boxing fan and friend and supporter of Floyd Mayweather) for his posting of a mock photo.
Now if you agree with Bieber’s photo or not (I felt it might have been in bad taste for some…but hardly worth getting upset or raising a stink over it)… he wasn’t the only one posting joke photos… perhaps just the most famous. Honestly, I doubt most Filipinos even care, this is just their over sensational media in play. You kind of have to wonder if Politicians couldn’t find a better way to spend tax payers money than a witch hunt over an apology. Maybe next, these 7 Filipino Politicians can tackle the case of members from Manny Pacquiao’s team going ballistic on a ringside photographer who was only doing his job the night Juan Manuel Marquez knocked out Pacman… but that is another story, and hardly worth noting over the Beibs… right?
