CONSENSUS world featherweight boxing champ Manny Pacquiao is just two pounds over the 126-pound limit with three weeks to go before he climbs the ring in Las Vegas, Nevada to fight World Boxing Association and International Boxing Federation title holder Juan Manuel Marquez on May 8.
Feeds from Los Angeles in California where he is into deep training said Pacquiao has already sparred over 10 rounds before the Holy Week against several sparring mates, including a welterweight.
He continues to build his stamina by running around Los Angeles and hitting the punching bags and mitts of his trainer.
In an interview with BoxingScene’s Keith Terceira in Hollywood where he is training at the Wild Card Gym, Manny said he is confident he will be able to handle Marquez, a noted counter-puncher who totes a ring record of 42 wins and two loses, with 33 of those victories coming by way of knockouts.
