LAS VEGAS — The Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) is set to release within the week the results of the urine test taken before the decisive fight between 8-division world champion Manny ?Pacman? Pacquiao and 4-division champion Juan Manuel ?Dinamita? Marquez last December 9.
NSAC executive director Keith Kizer said the tests aim to determine if the fighters used performance-enhancing drugs like anabolic steroids, masking agents, and even marijuana.
The issue on performance-enhancing drug use is once again hounding Marquez following his one-punch knockout victory over Pacquiao.
Earlier, Pacman?s coach Freddy Roach questioned Marquez?s extreme muscle built while maintaining his weight.
However, according to Kizer, Marquez has already undergone drug tests in his previous fights and all of them tested negative.
“The Nevada Athletic Commission has tested both Mr. Pacquiao and Mr. Marquez many times in the past, and they have always tested negative,” Kaizer said. (Sunnex with wire reports)
