MEXICAN world featherweight champion Juan Manuel Marquez is primed and ready to rumble with Filipino ring idol Manny Pacquiao, any time, any day?most especially on May 8 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada.
While Pacquiao sparred for 10 rounds Friday, Marquez has already been doing 12 rounds against three young and talented boxers at the Romanza gym in Mexico City.
Marquez has been sparring for four rounds daily since three weeks ago, but has now shifted to high gear under the great Mexican training maestro, Ignacio ?Nacho? Beristain.
According to Marquez?s publicist, California-based Ricardo Jimenez, the 30-year-old Mexican is peaking at the right time and would still spar for another ten 12-round sessions before tapering off.
