Fresh from his dominating 9th round TKO win over Toshiaki Nishioka, “The Filipino Flash”, Nonito Donaire, Jr. is raring to get on to facing his next challenge.
Amidst reports that he will be fighting former jr. featherweight world champion Jorge Arce in a blockbuster showdown in Mexico City, Donaire who is still nursing a cut on his left fist sustained in sparring, and aggravated in the ring against Nishioka, said that he is ready to go. “I am not afraid to fight anybody. If Bob Arum will confirm tomorrow that December 15 will be my next fight. So be it,” Donaire told our sport media partner Snow Badua of PTV Sports.
Donaire exuded confidence in discussing a fight with Arce and said he was willing to concede some advantages to the Mexican warrior. “I don’t care. I will fight. I told you I am not afraid of anybody,” said Donaire.

As far as his recurring left hand injury is concerned, it’s pretty much the same old sotry for the reigning WBO jr. featherweight king. “My doc told me to rest my left hand for a month.
