THE FEW, THE LOUD, THE LAME, THE FOOLISH
San Francisco, CA-Rarely do I offer commentary on what other writers present here at ?Ring Talk.? But when I saw the berating of Frances ?The Fight Chick? Martel by a bunch of pinheads that call themselves Manny Pacquiao fans, I felt the need to be heard. First of all, you guys blogging from some Internet caf? in Manila, you can watch Manny destroy Erik Morales on TV for free. And in case you don?t know what free is, (libre in Tagalog) this means you won?t be throwing down $50 American dollars to watch said massacre.
MANNY SHOULD BE ARRESTED THIS TIME!
And while it might excite you all in watching Manny mop the floor with a washed up Morales, it doesn?t in itself make somebody want to pay $50 bucks to see what may amount to a criminal charge of Domestic Violence. That?s the point Frances was trying to make in her article. Every time Manny fights, the ignorant come out in droves. For Ms. Martel, this is the first time she has seen the wrath of the radical Right Wing faction of the Pacman nation. As usual, they come off more buffoonish, than that of knowledgeable Manny Pacquiao fans.
WHAT IS A TRUE PACMAN FAN YOU ASK?
One that doesn?t resort to four-letter words, sometimes the irreverent almost insane dribble that flows from some of your mouths is nothing more that verbal diarrhea. And at times is so vile, that it takes away from the 98% of Manny Pacquiao fans, the ones that show respect, class, and integrity. When the Pacman fights, the whole country of the Philippines is put under a microscope. If the masses saw your blogs, they?d wonder if you these guys were agreeable to drinking Jim Jones? Kool Aid, if the Pacman were to say so.
PHILIPPINE TV VIEWERS QUITE FORTUNATE
If Frances thinks Manny was boring, she might have been referring to rounds three through 12 against Juan Manuel Marquez. As stated, she has the right to her opinion, and at the same time so do you fans. But when you take it personal, revert to swearing, well it just doesn?t show Pacman fans in a positive light. The home TV in the Philippines is free, but on a seven-minute delay with commercials. In the U.S, you could delay us three hours, as they did in the days of Network TV 15-20 years ago, and stack on the commercials, and the fans would be a lot happier than having to fork out $50 clams to watch the fight live!
AND BY THE WAY?READ THE ENTIRE FINAL QUESTION
The Pacquiao-Morales Closed Circuit PPV in Philippine movie houses is around six hundred pesos, or $10-$12 U.S. bucks. Now that the Pacman maniacs have been reminded of their responsibility as they representing Pacquiao, leave some comments below telling us why Erik?s getting down to weight and being in shape won?t be enough for him to defeat Manny?
