WITH his mammoth clash against WBA/IBF featherweight champ Juan Manuel Marquez drawing near, consensus featherweight king Manny Pacquiao found himself getting the boot as the Mexico-based World Boxing Council (WBC) took him out of Top 10 in its latest rankings for March.
Curiously, the same world body had previously installed Pacquiao No. 3 contender, behind No. 1 Chi In-jin and No. 2 Michael Brodie, who will contest the crown vacated by Erik Morales. The first Chi-Brodie fight ended in a controversial draw last December in England.
