West Hollywood, CA: The co-main event boxers participating at the two blockbuster boxing match-up on Saturday, October 13th at the famed Home Depot Center at Carson, CA met the media for the final ?media work-out? early today.

The event was held at the gym of former heavyweight fighter and now trainer, Justine Fortune along Sunset Boulevard in this city.

First to meet the media and show his ware was Mike Alvarado (33-0-0,23 KO) of Denver Colorado. Alvarado won the last 10 of his last 13 fight by stopping his opponents.

Then came Japan?s Takashi Nishioka (39-4-3, 24KO) who holds a very impressive 8 year 16 bout victory streak.

After Nishioka the Oxnard slugger, Brandon Rios (30-10-1, 21 KO) stepped up. Rios is a former WBA world lightweight champion. He will be facing Alvarado in what was billed as a slugfest.

Many pundits are saying that the Rios-Alvarado show has the potential to steal the show from the top main event. ?It?s going to end with a KO? said most of them.

After Rios came the ?Filipino Flash?, Nonito Donaire, Jr (29-1,0-18KO). Donaire who was raised in the Philippines and now trains in San Leandro, CA will defend his WBO and IBF titles against Nishioka.
