Actor Liam Neeson stars this weekend on the big screen in “Taken 2”. If you watched the first movie, you’ll remember just how great a flick it was. I am expecting that a lot of people who are fans of the first movie and Neeson’s acting, will line up for tomorrow’s opening. Ahead of “Taken 2” hitting theaters, Nesson sat down with ESPN and discussed tons of topics related to boxing. Of course the hot issue of Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr. came up.
When asked which were the boxers from today that Neeson enjoys watching, the vetran Hollywood actor stated: “(Manny) Pacquiao is still amazing. He’s getting a little bit older, but in the championship rounds from 9 to 12 he just gets stronger and stronger and stronger. That’s the sign of a great champion. I think Floyd Mayweather Jr. is terrific. I think he’s scared of Pacquaio, though. I don’t think it’s about money. I don’t mean he is scared, like terrified of his life, but I think he thinks he can see in Pacquiao someone that could beat him.”
So what would Neeson’s reaction be if Manny Pacquiao vs. Floyd “Money” Mayweather Jr. was announced? “Oh, I would absolutely flip my seat,” stated Neeson, adding: “I would pay any amount of money to be at that fight.”
Well, let’s be fair, who wouldn’t pay top dollar to watch that fight in person!?
Regarding Taken 2: The movie is about Retired CIA operative Bryan Mills and his wife, who are in Istanbul and are taken hostage by the father of a kidnapper Mills killed while rescuing his daughter. Like i said, the first movie was great, but you already know that (because who hasn’t seen it!?). So far “Taken 2” has gotten very strong reviews.
