IBF and WBA featherweight titlist Juan Manuel ?Dinamita? Marquez of Mexico yesterday hurled an ominous warning to Ring Magazine 126-pound king Manny Pacquiao, saying that the gutsy Filipino hotshot will soon pay the bitter price for showing no respect to him being the legitimate champion of two prestigious boxing organizations.
Marquez somehow felt slighted by Pacquiao?s constant mention of WBC super featherweight ruler Erik Morales as if the General Santos City-native is not aware of their upcoming May 8 showdown, which will be televised live by HBO, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
In their pre-fight news conference in Los Angeles, California last week, the 25-year-old Pacquiao belittled Marquez when he said he is looking forward to a July 31 ring date with Morales, instead of discussing his fight plans against Marquez.
