8CN just spoke with Top Rank CEO Bob Arum and got an update on Manny Pacquiao’s next opponent. Arum tells 8CN that Manny has made his decision and an announcement will “definitely” be announced by the end of this week. Arum would not elaborate on who Manny has decided on, but it’s likely that the opponent will be Juan Manuel Marquez. Arum also talks about the upcoming Chavez Jr Vs. Sergio Martinez fight, and the upcoming Nonito Donaire fight.
Arum tells 8CN that the reason why the decision on Pacquiao’s opponent has taken so long is because Manny has been going back and forth about who he wants to fight. Arum tells 8CN that there’s plenty of time before December, so he’s not concerned with the amount of time that it’s taking to make the opponent announcement.
