NKOSINATHI Joyi’s handler Siphatho Handi is not concerned by the unavailability of the video-tape of Philippines fighter Armad de la Cruz, who faces Joyi at Emperors Palace in Johannesburg next Saturday.
The two fighters will be battling for the vacant IBO world mini-flyweight crown as part of a boxing extravaganza featuring five world titles staged by Golden Gloves Promotions.
The main bout features an IBF junior-lightweight title scrap between Gairy St Clair of Australia and South Africa’s Malcolm Klassen.
Joyi will be vying for his first world title in only his 16th fight as a professional.
De la Cruz is described as a tough southpaw who is one of several Filipino fighters managed by Rex Salud, whose other high-profile fighter is Filipino bomber Manny Pacquiao.
“We do not care about seeing his video footage,” Handi said.
“We hope he has not seen us in action either, but if he has, then we will have to beat him anyway.”
Salud may have video footage of Joyi as he has friends in South Africa.
