No Hurry For Pacquiao ? Arum

MANILA, Philippines ? Bob Arum blew into town early Wednesday morning from the US and unsure who among three names Manny Pacquiao will choose as his opponent on Nov. 10 in Las Vegas.

The Top Rank big boss was joined in the trip by his wife Lovee and Pacquiao?s adviser Mike Koncz and Arum is upbeat that the by the time he leaves on Sunday, he already has something solid in hand.

?There?s not much time,? said Arum, who has already lined up a series of promotional tours beginning on Sept. 4 in Los Angeles.

Before coming over, Arum had already discussed with the handlers of Tim Bradley, Juan Manuel Marquez and even Miguel Cotto.

While the 80-year-old Arum knows what the other parties want, he doesn?t have a clue what is on Pacquiao?s mind.

The feeling is that Pacquiao will pick from Bradley and Marquez in the hopes of storming back from his last appearance: A hotly-contested split decision loss to Bradley last June 9.

While a fight with Floyd Mayweather won?t happen this year, Arum will also raise the subject matter as the Hall of Fame promoter is now oozing with confidence that the fight that has been unable to get done now has a big chance of becoming a reality.

Last week, Mayweather, who teamed up with rapper-millionaire 50 Cent and then formed TMT (The Money Promotions), was released from a Las Vegas cell.

Meanwhile, Arum also disclosed that Filipino-American Nonito Donaire will meet Japanese pride Toshiaki Nishioka on Oct. 13 at the Home Depot Center in City of Carson, California.

Arum had wanted to pair Donaire with Mexican hotshot Jorge Arce but the ?HBO money is not sufficient? to make such a mouth-watering matchup.
