Las Vegas, NV – Boxing’s cash cow, and top pound-for-pound fighter is a “free bird” once again. Just a few minuted past midnight here in Las Vegas, Floyd Mayweather, Jr. reclaimed his freedom after being released from his Clark County jail cell early, serving only 63 days of his 87-day sentence stemming from domestic violence charges, for good behavior.
Mayweather was all smiles as friends, family, fans and media greeted him upon his release. Also waiting for him was his close friend 50 Cent, who was driving the vehicle that picked Mayweather up after his release.
Moments after his release, Mayweather posted a photo on his social media sites, which showed that the fighter is still in great shape despite his complaints that prison food and water threatened his health when he plead for his sentence be served on house arrest a week into his prison term.

With Mayweather being out early and in shape, and with Filipino boxing icon Manny Pacquiao still without an opponent for November, it’s definitely realistic for a winter showdown between both men to finally come to fruition. And with 50 Cent putting up TMT Promotions, Pacquiao’s promoter Bob Arum has expressed his interest in working out a deal with the rapper-turned-boxing promoter, reviving hopes of a Pacquiao-Mayweather super-fight.
