FILIPINO flyweight prospect Froilan Saludar will be among the top boxers seen to grace the September match being prepared by boxing promoter Anson Tiu Co.
With featherweight Ernie Sanchez and super bantamweight Dodie Boy Pe?alosa Jr. out of the fight card after both fighters seeing action in an earlier boxing match, the unbeaten Saludar is among the big names seen to grace the one day boxing event.
Fight night will also be moved to September 23 from the earlier September 9 schedule as fight cards for the night are being arranged by organizers which include the Highland Boxing Gym of Brico Santig.
?Saludar will probably be facing a Mexican as one of the fightcards for the night,? said Tiu Co of Shape ? Up Boxing Gym where eight weight division champion Manny Pacquiao trains as part of his high altitude training.
Seven other undercards are also being lined up for the event, topbilled by Cordillera?s upcoming boxers who will challenge fighters from all over the country, added Tiu Co.
Saludar is the reigning WBO Youth flyweight and WBO Asia Pacific flyweight title holder after defeating Mexican Alejandro Morales in a ten round unanimous decision last March 17 in Lapu- Lapu City, Cebu.
The 23 year old native of Polomolok, South Cotabato will seek his 16th victory in his professional career after stopping 15 fighters, 11 of which via knock out while scoring a draw against Brian Diano in their June 26, 2010 encounter.
Former light flyweight champion Rodel Mayol is expected to topbill the event as part of the month long Baguio Day celebration after the righty has reportedly agreed to terms of the boxing promoters.
