MANILA, Philippines ? Filipino ring icon and Saragani representative Manny Pacquiao led a prayer rally at the Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City Saturday.
About 15,000 people attended the service as Pacquiao talked about his religious beliefs and handed out Bibles.
?Napakaraming tao at masaya ako para sa mga tao dahil they accept Jesus Christ,? Pacquiao said.
The former world welterweight champion encouraged his audience to read the Bible at least twice a day.
?It?s really important na mag-basa sila ng Bible, mag-basa sila at i-apply nila sa sarili nila,? he said.
Pacquiao, who has won world titles in eight different weight divisions, is coming off a stunning loss to unbeaten American Timothy Bradley Jr. last June.
