5 days an counting. Floyd Mayweather Jr is just 5 days away from becoming a free man once again. He’s been serving time in a Las Vegas jail cell since early June. Mayweather is a polarizing force. There are those who love the man, and there are those who darn right hate the man.
I spoke with Floyd’s Uncle, Jeff Mayweather and got his thoughts on what sort of Floyd will come out of jail, ” I think he will come out of there more humbled. He’s had time to reflect on some things.”

One thing about Floyd Mayweather, he’s not as bad a person as the media hypes him to be. Is he perfect? No of course not. Floyd has done some things that I bet he wishes that he could take back. Haven’t we all?
Spending time isolated from most people for a few months should indeed humble a man. Floyd has indeed had plenty of time to reflect on things. One thing that we have learned is that he’s not been just doing nothing. Apparently he and hip hop legend 50 Cent have been up to things. 50 recently acquired a boxing promotion license, and he signed Gamboa and Dirrell to promotional contracts. It’s obvious that Floyd and 50 plan on making a serious run at Golden Boy and Top Rank.

Floyd will more than likely get out of jail eager to get his boxing career back on track. He will more than likely not fight a big fight right away. He will more than likely take a tune up fight. Certainlly going into a big fight coming out of jail is not a good idea.
In 5 days Floyd will be released, and we’ll all be watching to see which sort of man he has become. Will we get the same Floyd? A different Floyd? Time will tell.
