Why doesn’t Winnie The Pooh wear pants? He wears a shirt, but he is walking around bottomless. I was watching this DVD that I bought for my son because he loves Pooh, and as I sat through this horrible thing, I began to analyze it. It is just my nature. I know that it is only a cartoon, but kids emulate what they see, and now I have figured out why people get picked up for indecent exposure. If you interviewed these streakers and flashers, I guarantee that they will say that they loved Winnie the Pooh when they were young.
I was going to contact Walt Disney that puts out the Pooh DVDs, but upon further investigation, I found out something shocking. Donald Duck doesn’t wear pants either. This was worse than I thought. I love Disney movies for the most part and as I get older, and now that I have a son especially, I am watching them more and more. So, I must give them their props on “The Lion King” and “The Emperor’s New Groove,” but everyone in those movies had pants, when they applied to the situation. In the Lion King, we dealt with strictly animals and animals, for the most part, don’t wear clothing. Once in a while, you get a chimp dressed like a person, but that’s irrelevant. Therefore, Simba without clothing is completely acceptable.
Now, let’s examine Donald Duck. He is a duck and ducks don’t wear pants, so you will probably contend that Disney is completely correct with their depiction. You are wrong sir/madam. Donald Duck lives in a house, and was in the Navy, which disqualifies him from the duck world and puts him right in the human world, where the good people wear pants. So, now onto Winnie the Pooh, where you could argue that he lives in the woods and animals in the woods don’t’ wear clothing, so he is well within his rights to be without pants. Why is he wearing a shirt then? You can’t go halfway in this life in my opinion.
For instance, I have a mini Doberman named “Peter” and he has very little fur, which might prompt some people to put a sweater on him to keep him warm. Not me. If he’s wearing a sweater, he’s wearing pants too and they don’t make dog pants. Hey inventors out there, here’s an idea for you: Dog Pants. Run with it and don’t forget to give me a cut. It was my idea after all.
Now, let’s talk about boxing, unless you want to continue to talk about cartoon characters that don’t wear pants…

After his OK (but not so impressive debut on HBO) who do you think Joe Calzaghe needs to fight in order to finally convince Americans he is the real deal? Mikkel Kessler or an American like Hopkins or Winky?

I think that Calzaghe did well under the circumstances. His opponent was a dirty fighter and that had to befuddle the Welshman somewhat. The head butts, rabbit punches, and low blows must have made Calzaghe’s night a frustrating one, and he came through with a win and a lopsided one at that, which impressed me. It was a no win situation for him.
Convincing Americans is not easy. Look at Lennox Lewis. Many Americans still don’t consider him much of a champion, but he was an all time great for sure. He should face Kessler, unify the entire division and then take on a guy like Winky Wright or Jermain Taylor, which should move him a step closer to the acceptance and high regard of the U.S. fans.

Love the new nickname. I am a kook for sure and I appreciate the comments. I aim to please. Now, as far as dating Tony “TNT” Brown in drag…I have to say that we are just friends. I am married and have always liked girls. I’m not saying that TNT in drag on a deserted island would be safe with me, but I am saying that under the present circumstances, I have no interest in Tony in that fashion.
I think that Peter Manfredo, JR., is improving and has really improved over the past couple of years, but Spina wasn’t a top notch guy. He had a great record, but it was against very suspect opposition and in Peter’s other good win, he plowed over a spent Scott Pemberton. Manfredo is a man to watch, but he is not a legitimate force just yet.
He would have zero chance against Joe Calzaghe…ZERO. If Calzaghe misses a flight and has to forfeit, perhaps that is a way that he could win, but in no way does he beat him. RJJ, even at this age, might be too heavy for him. So, that leaves us with Allan Green, a flawed contender on the way up with a big punch, a lot of heart, and debatable skills. He would still be favored in my mind, but if I had to choose between the three, money aside, Green is the man for Peter.

I am a HUGE Rocky fan. Typically, I would not entertain bouts between fictitious characters and real life athletes, but today, because I like you, I said: What the @#$@#$. What do I have to lose?
Rocky vs. Wlad Klitschko would sort of be like his bout with Ivan Drago. Wlad, in fact, would probably force this bout by all the smack that he would talk about Drago being robbed in his Rocky encounter. The bout would see a dominant performance by Wlad early, but the lack of endurance and stamina would bite him in the a$$, as the Rock pushed forward and stopped him late in the fight.
Rocky vs. Nikolay Valuev would be a tough one for the stallion. Valuev would try to club the stallion out of there, but I think that we would see Rocky employ some of the tactics that Apollo taught him to box early, and slug him out of there late. Rocky by 8th round TKO.
Rocky vs. Mike Tyson would be another tough one for Rocky. You could argue that Balboa has the bigger heart and that that would prevail, but I don’t see it. Tyson is like Clubber Lang, but more skilled and without Apollo to assist Rocky with training and movement, I see Tyson catching Rocky early and stopping him in a round or two.
Rocky vs. Larry Holmes would be interesting. Holmes would have to be favored by decision, but if Rocky could land, he might just win, but I don’t see it. Holmes by UD.
Rocky vs. Muhammad Ali would be a wide UD for Ali. No way Rocky catches him, unless they make the bout for later in the Ali career…
Rocky vs. Your Mother In-Law would be an ugly fight. Even if your mom-in-law packs a good shot, I still don’t think that she could go a round. Rocky by KO in 1.

I can’t wait to tell my boss, “Bad” Brad Berkwitt because he is a huge fan of Sinatra and he might want a copy of that to see how Frank Stallone matches up.
Maybe they can make Rocky 7, where Rocky boxes his brother Frank Balboa. See, I have figured it out. Frank sings in this movie and one of Rocky’s friends hears him and takes his own life so not to hear his horrible voice anymore. “If he dies, he dies,” Frank sings right in Rocky’s face, enraging him. Well, as a boxing journalist, I have an obligation to the fans and boxers to be fair, but most journalists really don’t seem to believe in that too much. I have many roles at RSR, which includes my work on “The Boxing Show” on RSRTV. I attend and cover boxing events and conduct interviews as well.
I think that a counter puncher has a better chance of becoming a world champion because the punch that does the most damage is the one that you don’t see and you are less likely to see a counter punch coming. Lennox Lewis, Pernell Whitaker, Floyd Mayweather, JR., come to mind for great counter punchers.

I saw the valuev fight and was not impressed at all, but then watched it the second time and was more impressed it odd but everytime you watch a fight the second time it seems better.
anyway here’s how the king saw it ” that’s me not you geno ” big he is lacks a kayo punch the jab was not there this fight but I believe from other fights he has one. he just wore barrett out by his physical size and which I could not believe his stamina which he has and it seems he can take a punch but can he take three or four in a row from a heavy puncher. his one big fault is every clinch he was in he put raised his arms and barrett whacked him a few times , if its someone else he may be on the canvass, but it was a step up but a far as fighting a klitschko or lyahovich I don’t think he stands a chance, he may not even last with maskaev,
so the king here says don king should shut up and let him make some money on other contenders, plus I think his knees are more of a problem than is let on both were heavely taped and he’s going to the therapist for two weeks in germany that don’t sound good.

I think that potentially, Nikolay Valuev could rule the division. You made a very good point about how he leaves himself defenseless at times when he raises his hands in a clinch. Not a good move for sure, but he is still learning. I think that Valuev beats Maskaev and Lyakhovich for sure, and I would pick him to beat Wlad, as long as he makes it beyond the first few rounds. If we are in round 7 or 8, Valuev takes it.
The Barrett win was impressive. Rahman couldn’t stop him, and Rahman is a 2-Time Heavyweight Champion. Barrett has given most people a hard time and was only really blown out of there by Wladimir Klitschko. So, a KO win is impressive.
Yes, when I make it big in the film industry and the psychic that my sister talked to said that I was going to be, you will have to watch all of my movies for sure.

This is a very good fight and the outcome might depend on how Pacman takes Casamayor’s punches and his dirty tactics. If he keeps his composure, I would lean toward Pacman to win a decision. If he gets rattled, Casamayor will win, and possibly win by a stoppage. This is a very tough fight to call because Casamayor is inconsistent and you don’t know the mental condition that he will show up in. In summation, I would say that anything can happen in this and probably will, but I would lean toward Pacman by close decision.
HOW GOOD IS MANNY?

I am sure I am in the minority here but Manny is a very good fighter yet not great. He has many flaws and my countrymen are on his sac like he is Sugar Ray Robinson. He will never hold SRR spit bucket. I think too many PI fans put their hopes and dreams on one man in this case Pacquiao and sometimes it is just way too sad.

I think that certain flaws in skill or defense are often overlooked when you are really taken by an athlete. Many of the supporters of Pacquiao and other fighters and/or athletes in other fields, live vicariously through them and when they win in the ring or on the field, the fan wins. It shows that there is hope and I can’t argue with that. Sure, Pacquiao is no Sugar Ray Robinson, but he is a great fighter and I love that Shannon Briggs saying: “May not be the greatest, but I’m the latest.” That can be applied to Manny. He may be the biggest draw in boxing, De La Hoya aside.
