Moments ago at the Home Depot Center in Carson, California, former middleweight champion Kelly Pavlik scored a commanding and slightly uneventful ten-round decision over Will Rosinsky. Scores read 98-91 twice and 97-92 in Pavlik?s favor.

Pavlik got into his groove a bit in the second round, landed a short right hand on the inside that jarred Rosinsky and sent him to the canvas. From that point forward Pavlik was in control of the contest as Rosinsky went into a bit of a shell.
As the fight wore on, Pavlik began landing his power shots with greater frequency and close the fight strong.
Speaking to HBO?s Max Kellerman after the fight, Pavlik conceded that he still has a bit to work on but seemed pleased with the fact that he was able to derail and younger prospect. Pavlik also added that he is looking for the biggest names, mentioning the likes of Carl Froch, Mikkel Kessler, and even Andre Ward. Advertisement
Pavlik landed 227 out of his 661 blows in the contest, good enough for a 34% connect rate while Rosinsky was 159 out of 564 for a 28% clip.
This marks Pavlik?s third fight with trainer Robert Garcia, with the tandem being victorious each time out.
Expect a much bigger assignment for Pavlik later in the fall.
