Top UFC middleweight contender Mark “The Filipino Wrecking Machine” Munoz (12-2 MMA, 7-2 UFC) returns from his elbow surgery last February to face off against undefeated prospect Chris Weidman (8-0 MMA, 4-0 UFC) as the headliner of UFC on FUEL TV 4.
The Vallejo, California native Munoz’s return to the octagon also marks his return to the Bay Area at the HP Pavilion on July 11.
Also slated in the card is fellow Filipino-American MMA fighter, light heavyweight Brandon Vera, who will be facing off against James Te Huna and Brandon Vera.
Munoz was primed for a title shot against Anderson Silva when he was forced to pull out of his eliminator match-up with Chael Sonnen last February. Munoz said that his injury has healed, and is raring to get back on his title quest.
