Top Rank big boss man Bob Arum spoke with 8CN this evening and gave us an update on his latest conversation with Manny Pacquiao. Arum tells 8CN that it doesn’t appear very likely that Pacquiao and Mayweather will fight next because Floyd more than likely would not be ready in time for the November date. Mayweather is currently serving his 87 day jail sentence in Las Vegas, and Arum doesn’t feel there’s enough time to make the big fight next. Arum did however say that Manny specifically told him to make the Mayweather fight. When I asked Arum how he felt about a Mayweather Vs. Pacquiao fight in 2013, and said that he feels strongly that it will happen.
Arum also breaks down the upcoming Nonito Donaire fight. He tells 8CN that ticket sales are “very” strong, and he expects a big turnout. Bob also talks about the current steroids situation in boxing.
