ALA Stable standouts Robert Allanic and Rocky Fuentes pulled off contrasting victories over Japanese foes the other day at the IMP Hall in Osaka, Japan.
Allanic scored an eighth round TKO triumph over Hiroaki Kusunok in their super flyweight battle, while Fuentes was made to work to the limit before eking out a split decision win against Yuki Nasu over 10 heats.
Allanic stretched his win-loss record to 15-1 now packed with 7KOs, while Fuentes improved to 16-5-2 with 10KOs.
In the other bouts, reigning Philippine Boxing Federation (PBF) lightweight champion JR Sollano (9-5, 7KOs) and Louie Bantigue (11-5-4, 4KOs) came up with stunning wins by first round knockout over Hayato Takabayashi and Satoru Uchida, respectively.
RP lightweight titlist Dexter Delada and Philippine flyweight crown-holder Federico Catubay, however, were not as lucky as their fellow countrymen.
Delada was knocked out by Koji Samejima in the second round, while Catubay bowed to Hiroyuki Hisataka by unanimous decision.
