Cathedral City will honor WBO welterweight champion Timothy Bradley with a rally from 7 to 8 p.m. Saturday.
The celebration will take place in front of City Hall in the Town Square, Councilman Greg Pettis said.
More details will be released later today.
Bradley defeated Manny Pacquiao in a split decision in Las Vegas on Saturday to win the WBO belt.
Bradley had an MRI on his injured left foot Monday. The MRI revealed that Bradley didn’t fracture the foot, which he injured in the second round, but he did pull some ligaments, manager Cameron Dunkin said.
Bradley will be off his feet, which includes his twisted right ankle, for eight weeks, Dunkin said.
