Las Vegas, NV – Fresh from his impressive win over nemesis Omar Nino Romero last May, I caught up WBO flyweight champion Brian Viloria at the weigh-ins of Manny Pacquiao vs. Timothy Bradley to get his invaluable breakdown of tonight’s big fight.
Viloria, who recently toured Europe after his fight as part of a delayed honeymoon celebration with his wife Erika, shared his insights on Bradley’s chances in beating Pacquiao, and believes it’s a battle of who establishes his positioning first.
“Bradley is young, hungry, and a talented fighter. I think it’s going to be a toe-to-toe battle with each guy trying to get his footing in first,” Viloria said.
“I think Pacquiao will outspeed Bradley in this fight. I think he has more experience behind him of fighting bigger and tougher opponents. I think it’s an all out battle, and it’s going to be tough to call,” he added.
In the end however, Viloria feels that Pacquiao’s power, and speed will, yet again, be the key to the Filipino icon’s success, add to that his experience edge over Bradley.
