Manny Pacquiao, realizing that beating World Boxing Association/International Boxing Federation champion Juan Manuel Marquez is his ticket to a megabuck showdown with World Boxing Council junior lightweight champion Erik Morales, is training hard under the watchful eye of Freddie Roach at his Wild Card Gym in Los Angeles.
Pacquiao?s business manager Rod Nazario said he spoke to his ward, who told him he was doing roadwork running up the mountains of Hollywood with conditioning trainer Justin Fortune but had not done any sparring as yet. Nazario quoted Pacquiao as saying ?I?m doing twice as much,? as he did in preparation for the fight against legendary featherweight Marco Antonio Barrera, whom he annihilated in 11 rounds last Nov. 15.
