Pinoy pugs see Pacquiao thrashing Bradley

LOS ANGELES: A number of Filipino boxers have put their bet on Manny Pacquiao who is set to take on junior welterweight king Timothy Bradley on June 9 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

?Manny?s too fast, in fact, I couldn?t think how Bradley could keep pace with him,? said World Boxing Organization flyweight champion Brian Viloria when he witnessed Pacquiao?s training at the Wild Card Gym.

Viloria added that Pacquiao?s wealth of fight experience is also an invaluable asset, ?Manny has fought all the greatest fighters in this generation in all the divisions he had been fighting. And he has brains, too.?

For former bantamweight and featherweight champion Gerry Pe?alosa, Pacquiao is one of the quickest fighters and is among the most powerful punchers too.

?Bradley is fast, but he will get dizzy chasing Manny. And if he finally catches up with Manny, he would be tired and would crumble to Manny?s punching power,? said Pe?alosa.

Multi-awarded boxer Luisito Espinosa, now based in San Francisco, compared himself with Pacquiao, saying he was considered strong and fast during his prime but never on the same level as that of the PacMan.

On the other hand, 1996 Olympics bronze medalist Mansueto ?Onyok? Velasco, has no doubt on Pacquiao?s punching power. He said Bradley would never be as fast and as strong as the Pambansang Kamao.

?It will be easy for Manny to beat Bradley. He is in the best condition. He does not get tired and that is what would make him win,? Velasco said.

All four boxers predicted Pacquiao would win over Bradley via knockout within the fourth to sixth rounds.
