LOS ANGELES ? Timothy Bradley will make Manny Pacquiao look good ? once more.
?He?s made to order for Manny,? said two-time world champion Gerry Pe?alosa Tuesday when asked of his thoughts on the undefeated American.
Pe?alosa, one of the finest Filipino boxers ever, said Bradley will walk into Pacquiao?s left straight when they meet on June 9 in Las Vegas.
And it won?t take long before everybody goes home.
?Walang rason para hindi siya ma-knockout (There?s no reason for him not to be knocked out),? added the 39-year-old Pe?alosa, who?s now into boxing promotions.
He didn?t pick any round but sounded confident of a stoppage for Pacquiao.
?Bradley?s style is fit for Pacquiao. Manny?s left straight will come straight into Bradley?s face,? said Pe?alosa, here in Los Angeles, with his entire family, to watch the coming fight.
Pe?alosa said he recently spoke to Pacquiao and the reigning WBO welterweight champion had told him to watch this fight carefully.
?Hindi naman nagyayabang pero sabi nga niya tingnan ko itong laban na ito (He wasn?t being brash but he asked me to look at this fight),? said Pe?alosa.
He?d seen most if not all of Pacquiao?s fights in the United States, and recently he visited the boxing icon as he trained in Baguio City.
?There are factors going for Manny. There?s less distraction around him this time. He trained early for this fight and yet he doesn?t look over-confident,? he said.
Pe?alosa said Bradley being an inch shorter than Pacquiao will also make it easier for the fighting congressman from Sarangani.
If Pacquiao can do so much damage against fighters the size of Oscar dela Hoya, Miguel Cotto or Antonio Margarito, then it?s easy to imagine where Bradley?s headed for.
Pe?alosa said Pacquiao will be his old self against Bradley, as destructive as the old Pacquiao.
Last November, Pacquiao wasn?t impressive and actually looked bad against Juan Manuel Marquez, who many felt did what was needed for him to earn the decision.
Pacquiao hasn?t knocked an opponent out in his last four fights, including those against Joshua Clottey, Margarito, Shane Mosley and Marquez.
?Down ang stocks eh. That?s why some are saying that it?s a sign that he?s slowing down. People will watch this fight, and be the judge,? said Pe?alosa.
?Nakatingin ang tao sa fight na ito,? he added.
