On Thursday night at the Youth for Christ dinner in New Castle, DE, before a packed house at the Clarion Hotel, Dave ?TNT? Tiberi opened the show and introduced Pam Tebow, missionary, and mother of NY Jet QB Tim Tebow.
Tiberi has helped raise millions for the Boys & Girls Clubs of DE over the years with his dedication of helping the youth of DE. On the board for the Youth of Christ he once again spoke with elegance right from the heart. This is the same man that gave James ?Lights Out? Toney a beating over 12 rounds back in February of 1992 losing a split decision when commissioner Larry Hazzard broke the rules and allowed judges from Toney?s home state of MI and the adjoining state of IL to come in. Toney was allowed to sit in his corner receiving water between rounds on two occasions when Tiberi?s gloves were split. He would never fight again declaring he would never enter the ring again without his IBF middleweight championship belt. About 18 years later Toney admitted to his defeat.
