?I encourgage my fighers to do VADA testing & will continue to do so. Boxing is now learning lessons that Olympic athletes learned years ago.?
?Hundreds of Olympic athletes have testing positive for traces of nandrolone. I do not believe any of them injected it with intent to cheat.?
?Sometimes you can?t protect people from themselves. I have advised boxers not to take different supplements, but they don?t always listen.?
?I have recently warned several elite boxers about taking supplements I believe are not effective & possibly contaminated. Not all listen.?
I say that our top boxers have now risen–and. yes, “Boy Who Cried Wolf” Mayweather is now completely vindicated on this subject–to the same level of drug cheat suspicion as all those top bicycle racers, from kingpin Lance Armstrong on down.
Seriously, does Manny Pacquiao cheat but never get caught? Do one or both Klitschko Brothers cheat also? No fighter can any longer be above suspicion after the Peterson and Berto incidents have become public knowledge.
There’s a blanket of suspicion over all of them now and only mandatory testing for all world title bouts can get remove the stain, the doubt and the apparent guilt.
Did anyone think that boxers would, individually or as a group, hold themselves to some high moral standard and not cheat?
We’ve got guys like Peterson and Berto knowing they’re being tested and they both got caught.
I mean, let’s dummy up.
Mayweather is not a guy who sounded a flase alarm, he’s an oracle. The man has earned the description of puglistic prophet.
