THE World Boxing Council (WBC) has mandated the winner of the November 15 featherweight clash between Mexican Marco Antonio Barrera and Filipino Manny Pacquiao as the official challenger to the soon-to-be-crowned WBC featherweight king.
Since reigning champion Erik Morales of Mexico has made it official he is moving up in weight, the Mexico City-based WBC wants the victor of the Barrera-Pacquiao brawl in San Antonio to face the survivor of the fast-approaching bout between Korean Injin Chi and Briton Michael Brodie. Chi and Brodie will meet in England.
